BEST OF LA JOLLA

Reprint from La Jolla Light, October 25, 2007

Congratulations to the Best of La Jolla

Artist Christopher Gerlach's painting "Summertime, La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club" shows the colorful beauty fo the coast. On the cover, John Comer's painting, "Cliffs and Cove," depicts the best of La Jolla's natural beauty.

It's been nine years now since the Light launched its first Best Of Readers Poll asking local residents to vote for their favorite people and businesses. A wide array of categories, including best restaurant, wine selection, antiques, art gallery, personal trainer, volunteer/organization, and auto repair, are represented in these pages.
We counted your responses, both on-line and via paper ballots, which revealed your choices for the Jewel's top entrepreneurs.
These are some familiar names among 2007's list of top merchants, and some new faces and shopkeepers as well. Congratulations to all the winners and a huge thanks to all of you who shared your time — and opinions — by casting ballots.
